- Abstract
- Biofuels is one of the most widely available renewable energy sources in the modern world. Its basic liquid forms, bioethanol and biodiesel are derived from food crops. Modern biomass conversion technologies allow to obtain biofuels from nonfood, the so-called energy crops, as well as from plant residues, waste products of food, timber and other industries, which greatly reduces the risk of rising food prices on the world market.
