Abstract
The article is devoted to analysis of the present condition of WTO and the Doha round. The agrarian lobby in the U.S. is studied, as well as the history of its formation and present status in political system. The 2008 farm bill is a subject of special attention. The role of the U.S. agriculture sector in the prospects of the Doha round is assessed in conclusion.
