Abstract
The post-Soviet period of social, economic and trade cooperation between the U.S. and Tajikistan is analyzed. Since 1992, the United States is one of the major donors in Tajikistan. Despite the non-significant volume of foreign trade between the countries and U.S. direct investment, Washington plays the role of one of the major international actors in Tajikistan.
