- Abstract
- Contribution to economic science made by American Professors T. Sargent and K.Sims, Nobel Prize winners in Economics for 2011 is analyzed. The author's general conclusion is that ideological considerations far exceeded scientific importance of T. Sargent and K. Sims' works. By granting the 2011 Nobel Prize the Swedish Central Bank evidently decided to rehabilitate the reputation of the world financial community severely damaged during recent financial turmoil of 2007-2009.
