- Abstract
- The article examines the possibility to create a nuclear-free world by 2045 that is by the centenary of tragic event: using of nuclear weapons by the USA against Japan. An explanation is given of the outcome of voting on the draft Treaty on Prohibition of the Nuclear Weapons that has got positive votes of 2/3 of the United Nations Organization member states, with the setbacks of this draft being highlighted. The motifs and stances on the issue of the Russian Federation and the USA as the leading nuclear powers are examined. The author describes the potential consequences of building of the world free from nuclear arms.
