Abstract
The article examines the concepts and modern approaches to the government role in macroeconomic regulating and ensuring socio-economic security in the U.S. The dynamics of the government functions influenced by the challenges of the social environment and political processes is analyzed. Special attention is devoted to the role of the state in overcoming the 2007-2009 crisis and the perception of the anti-crisis policies in the context of transition of the government’s role in the US economy.
