Abstract
Grain industry is one of the most important sectors of the U.S. agribusiness. Due to the transition to intensive technologies, combined with a regional specialization, the industry is developing rapidly - yields grow, despite the reduction in harvesting areas. At the beginning of the second decade of the XXI century volume of production exceeded 430 million tons, which enables the country to fully meet the needs of the domestic food market, to provide livestock fodder base and to maintain leadership in the global grain trade.
