Abstract
The most important factor of the development of agricultural sector of the United States, the undoubted leader of the agrarian world, is the state regulation. The development of measures of agricultural policy at the beginning of the XXI century was carried out in accordance with five basic principles and allowed American agriculture to successfully adapt to the changing realities of the modern world, while retaining their high efficiency and dynamic development. By present time, formed a coherent system of measures of state regulation, when all carried out within its framework, activities can be grouped into three main sections: ensuring the basis of food security; providing the population with safe, affordable and nutritious food; to optimize the use of natural resources and rural development. They include ten groups of activities, dynamics and driving forces of evolution, which in this century are analyzed in this paper.
