Abstract
Canada belongs to the group of countries with the most favorable investment climate. Until recently, very few foreign investment projects were rejected by the Canadian authorities. However, in the past few years a number of big projects were banned or delayed because of anticipated threats to the national security. The article analyzes the Canadian experience of regulating foreign investment with regard to potential threats.
