Abstract
Regional specialization is a major factor for intensifying agricultural production. At the initial stage, the concentration of investment, labor and production resources in areas most favorable for growing specific crops in terms of soil, economic and climate conditions had shaped the basic features and trends in the specialization of the American crop production sector, whereas later these have been significantly accelerated by federal and state regulation measures.
