- Abstract
- No one country has studied its relationship with the United States as obsessively as have Canadians. Their management of relations with the U.S.A. is regarded by many as a model and an example to follow. A case in point is the recent meeting between the Canadian PM Justin Trudeau and the American President Donald Trump held February 13, 2017. Canadian diplomacy and PM did their best in projecting Canadian interests and cajoling D. Trump and his associates by using different methods and power resources. Some of these diplomatic techniques deserve to be thoroughly studied and can be emulated by other countries and by other heads of governments under comparable conditions.
