- Abstract
- 2016 elections were very fierce, and their results surprised many people. The fact that the Republicans managed to retain majority in the Senate is no less unexpected that Donald Trump''s victory. The decisive factor of the GOP''s success on the Senate elections became their victory in six out of nine battleground states. However there is still considerable opposition to the President in the Congress including some members of the ruling party. That''s why the course of the Trump''s Administration in domestic and foreign policy currently causes more questions than answers.
