Abstract
Psychology of morality - new area of psychological researches in the Institute of Psychology RAS is analyzed. Based on the results of carried out researches and Institute's publications the authors described its prehistory, main problems, condition and perspectives of study. Six main parts in the psychology of morality are marked out: general psychological problems of morality and moral standards; socio-psycho-logical mechanism of forming and spreading of different moral systems in society; mechanisms of moral interiorization and its transmission to the level of individual moral; moral-psychological condition in modern Russian society; moral-psychological basis for negative social phenomena; the search for ways of society's morality increasing.
