- Abstract
- The development of sociological knowledge about risk is analyzed. An attempt is made to substantiate the sociology of risk as a special sociological theory. Milestones in the formation of ideas about risk are highlighted, foreign and domestic approaches to the study of risk are characterized, etymological and lexical analysis of the concept of “risk”is carried out. The emphasis is placed on the social and managerial aspect of using the sociology of risk.
