The mission of the journal is to be a discussion platform for authoritative researchers from Russia and the CIS countries to exchange opinions on the processes and events taking place in the United States and Canada. The journal publishes scientific articles that present the results of research by both Russian and foreign scientists. As the leading Russian periodical scientific publication on modern American studies and Canadian studies, the journal also publishes articles on such issues as national, regional and international security, defense policy, globalization and integration processes, innovation, scientific and technological progress, international terrorism and the fight against it, environmental issues and issues of science and culture.
