Abstract
After the beginning of Russian special military operation in Ukraine in 2022, the Arctic strategies of the North American countries underwent significant changes. These changes aim to strengthen the military presence in the region and turn the Arctic into a confrontation zone with Russia and China. An analysis of the Arctic strategies of the USA and Greenland shows that food security issues are not given sufficient attention in these plans. This could lead to potential problems in the future, as ensuring the food security of the populations living in the Arctic territories of these countries is essential. A more balanced approach is observed in Canada's strategic documents.
