Abstract
Innovation policy is considered by US leadership as one of the key elements in ensuring national security by maintaining the leading position of the United States in global geopolitical competition in the 21st century, which decisively determines the prospects for the US position in the international technological ecosystem, the potential for developing the digital economy, and the country's military power. Microelectronics, advanced computing and quantum technologies, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, breakthrough telecommunications technologies, and clean energy technologies are identified as priority areas for promoting fundamental technologies, with a strong emphasis on active measures to protect the scientific and technological potential of the United States from advanced technology leaks
