США, Израиль и продолжающаяся война в секторе Газа

Аннотация
В статье приведены результаты промежуточной оценки военного участия Соединённых Штатов в первый год войны Израиля в секторе Газа. Исследование фокусируется на динамике отношений между этими двумя странами как донором и получателем и на том, как они влияют на войну. Результат показывает, что быстрое перевооружение израильского арсенала оружия и боеприпасов сыграло центральную роль в эскалации войны. Обосновывается, что военная помощь США Израилю – это национальный интерес Америки, а не просто услуга еврейскому государству. Военное сотрудничество с Израилем обеспечивает стабильный поток доходов для американских оружейных компаний, загружает производственные мощности многих расположенных по всей стране предприятий. Военная поддержка Израиля в войне с палестинцами рассматривается также в контексте более широкого американского участия на Ближнем Востоке. Сделан вывод, что основные военные действия США в поддержку военных операций Израиля в этот период были связаны с прямым конфликтом с йеменской военизированной группировкой «Ансар Аллах» с целью защиты торговых судоходных путей в Красном море и Аденском заливе.
