- Abstract
- The article contains the analysis of state support of small innovation business in the USA. The main tools in this sphere are Small Business Investment Company and Small Business Innovation Research programs. The author notes that the most important mechanism of venture investment support in the USA are federal guarantees that cover venture capital firm loans. The Russian experience of venture investment support, on the contrary, is based on mechanisms of state participation in the capital of venture funds while US experience indicates that such mechanism involve huge risks.
