- Abstract
- The article examines relations between the United States and Japan in the period between 1912 and 1919. Being allies in the WWI didn't prevent the aggravation of relations between them. The American policy of «open doors» in China clashed with Japan's aspiration to strengthen its political and economic positions in Asia.
