Abstract
The current economic crisis in the United States originated with the burst of housing market bubble, which in turn caused broad collapse of financial markets. Millions of homeowners couldn't afford their mortgage payments any longer, and as a result, lost their homes. The White House administration has implemented stimulus programs to support the flagging real estate sector, which at best has served to stabilize some local markets.
