- Abstract
- The article describes the Russian American Cultural Society which acted in Los Angeles in 1975-1995 and was one of the most efficient public organizations founded by the Russians in the USA. Based on the archival documents from the Society collection at the Museum of Russian Culture (San-Francisco) and publications in the Russian press in California, the Society activity and its contribution to the strengthening of the Russian community in Los Angeles and the promotion of Russian culture in the USA have been analyzed.
