- Abstract
- China’s exchange rate policy restraining the appreciation of renminbi is regarded by the United States as one of the main reasons for the continued trade of their deficit growth. Taking into account the core interests of both parties, the goal to establish an optimum RMB exchange rateis a complex prooblem, and the appreciation of renminbi can have both positive and negative effects on both the U.S. and China’s economies.
