- Abstract
- Economies of Russia and Canada are characterized by significant role played by the natural resources sector. Also, on many parameters Canada is much closer to Russia than other countries possessing sovereign wealth funds. Therefore, assessment of Canada's 40-year experience with regard to sovereign wealth funds is of special interest for Russian stakeholders. The article discusses objectives, revenue sources and investment activities of Canadian sovereign wealth funds and analyses their effectiveness as instruments of financial and economic policy.
