Abstract
Investigative journalism in the United States has a rich history. In spite of the economic, political or social barriers the muckrakers never stopped to write expose materials and considered as fighters for justice by the public. Over two centuries of existence of investigative journalism had appeared muckraker’s schools and investigative journalism became a separate genre with its own characteristics.
