- The article is about of U.S. missile defense program adaptation to low-intensity conflicts. It examines a connection between the concept of low-intensity conflict and the concept of regional deterrence. The author studies the evolution of missile defense role in the U.S. military policy regarding regional deterrence at the beginning of 21st century. A review of current and perspective regional architectures of the US missile defenses is given
