Abstract

In modern Russia there is no national philosophical award, as there are no other forms of official recognition of the merits of philosophers. The prize (provided it is based on a substantive and not on ideological and political grounds) is not only a difference, a reward and a reward for real achievements, but also provides a reference point for the philosophical and humanitarian communities, as well as for all who are interested in history and the modern state of forms and strategies of thought. The phenomenon of the award in Russia is considered, on the example of the award of the philosophical society of St. Petersburg "Second navigation", its history, ideology and problems. An important component of the society is the public activity of the philosopher.
