Abstract

The article noted that humanism exists as an idea and as a practical humanism (humaneness) in public relations. The author distinguishes three basic principles of relations between society and the individual. During the period of anthroposociogenesis, man was formed as a means of self-preservation for the society system. Therefore, in the pre-civilized society was dominated the relations principle “man for society”. However, development of consciousness and self- awareness led to the contradiction of man that resulted from both natural and social evolution: natural evolution created man as a collective being, and social evolution shaped his need for freedom. The reflection of the of social evolution acquisitions (intelligence, selfawareness, qualities of a subject and self-esteem) was the principle of “society for man” as an alternative to the first principle, and as the basis for the ideas of humanism. At the same time, denying the interests of society inevitably leads to social disasters. Each of these two principles is an extreme. A way to resolve this contradiction and the effective factor of social evolution should be the principle of “man for society and society for man”.
